PYP

PYP (PYP1 Pre KG- PYP8 Gr. 5)
Princeton International School is an authorized IB World School which is committed to providing high quality, challenging, international education that we believe is important for our learners.
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for children aged 3 – 12 nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning.
The PYP offers an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum framework that builds conceptual understanding. It is a student centered approach to education for children aged 3-12. It reflects the best of educational research, leadership and experience derived from IB World Schools.
The PYP has evolved to become a world leader in future-focused education. The PYP is an example of best educational practice globally, responding to the challenges and opportunities facing young students in our rapidly changing world.
At PIS:
There is nothing we prioritize more than the wellbeing of your child for it is an important component of a child’s growth.
Princeton international school is a working model of the thematic constructivist approach, a place where diversity is celebrated and collaboration between families and school is encouraged. Here in our school, we teach for life not for school by empowering our students to acquire both the knowledge and skills that will support them in their lifelong learning journey in an inspiring and dynamic environment.
Your commitment to ensuring that Princeton International School remains a celebrated and successful school is awe-inspiring.
We believe that creating conditions in which all children are prepared to learn and succeed in a multicultural community can only be achieved by forming partnerships among parents, staff, students, and community to achieve a truly integrated, nurturing, academically rigorous school community.
At PIS, we strongly believe that school is the light that guides students’ way. School community, specifically teachers, accompany students in their life-long learning journey; to support and provide assistance when required. Our students are given all opportunities to experiment, explore and make conclusions that are based on their own observations. We have high expectations in our learners and believe that each of them has strong capabilities that they themselves might not be aware of their existence.

Our goal is to help those students, at their differences, to explore and enhance their capabilities so that they can be demonstrated in the learning process. Therefore, we encourage our learners to express themselves, take responsibilities and to play an active role at school and beyond.
At PIS, we meet students’ learning needs through innovative methods for teaching and learning. Our Units of Inquiry are carefully crafted, to expand opportunities for inquiry, personal growth and academic development.
